Caracterização de um sistema silvopastoril como estratégia de gestão sustentável

Resumo

Un peculiar convencional enfrenta crecientes desafíos ambientales y productivos, exigiendo modelos más sustentables. En este contexto, los sistemas silvipastoris surgen como una estrategia integrada que combina árboles, pastas y animales en un único sistema de producción, ofreciendo múltiples beneficios. El objetivo de esta revisión es caracterizar el sistema silvipastoril como una estrategia eficaz para la gestión sustentable de los recursos naturales. Un análisis basado en la literatura científica actualizada que describe la estructura, funciones y resultados en diferentes contextos agroecológicos. Destaca-se a relevância do enfoque silvipastoril pela sua capacidade de mejorar la produtividade animal, conservar o solo, regular o ciclo hídrico, captar carbono y promover la biodiversidad. También se discuten sus aportes a la resiliencia climática y al desarrollo económico sustentable de los productores rurales. Sin embargo, identificam-se barreiras à sua adoção, como limitaciones técnicas, falta de capacitación, resistencia cultural y políticas públicas ineficaces. São presentados casos bem-sucedidos na América Latina que demuestran la viabilidad del sistema sob determinadas condiciones institucionales y ambientales. Concluyendo que el sistema silvipastoril representa una alternativa viável y sustentable frente a los sistemas convencionales, pero su ampliación requiere políticas de incentivo, pesquisa aplicada y educación rural continua. Esta revisión ofrece una base conceptual y práctica que puede orientar a productores, técnicos, pesquisadores y formuladores de políticas en la transición para modelos más equilibrados ecológica y económicamente.
