Uso de sensores en lechería

Abstract

Los datos de las tecnologías lecheras ofrecen importantes oportunidades para mejorar la productividad, el bienestar, la genética y la sostenibilidad (Ferris et al 2020). Existen aun, sin embargo importantes obstáculos, como las falsas alertas, la escasa interoperabilidad, la validación limitada y propiedad de los datos poco clara. Para que estos sensores y sus datos realmente sirvan dependerán de que estas tecnologías no sustituyen un mal manejo de los recursos en esos casos seguramente los agraven. Mejoran en aquellos sistemas bien manejados donde se aplican los conocimientos (nutrición, fisiología, bioquímica, comportamiento etc). El uso de estos son evidentes donde son más redituables, nos incrementen producción y/o reducen costos. Se presentan como más atractivas estas tecnologías para las nuevas generaciones. Sin embargo aún falta mejorar el desarrollo de los mismos, que la relación costo-beneficio mejore y que los nuevos operarios de lechería reciban un entrenamiento y educación acorde para poder maximizar ese beneficio que sin duda llegará con la automatización.
