Abstract

The objective of this study was to relate urea concentration in milk and reproduction in dairy cows under grazing conditions. We worked with 87 Holstein cows, which belonged to five different farms. Urea has been found in a milk sample taken from each cow, after 30, 60 and 90 days during lactation. We have measured the following reproduction parameters: IPPC, IPPS, IPC and NS. A considerable difference has been found among the five farms, IPPC and NS (P<.05) but we have not found a considerable difference in the other reproduction rates (P<.05).
